Eli is very pleased to sit in the grass for almost one hour at a time. He's very interested in the world.
When I was a child, I did run around picking dandelions before the lawn was mowed and they were brutally pulverized. I still enjoy looking at dandelions, with their gorgeous color, incredible hardiness, constant change. I am glad that our lawn is full of them. Last time Matt mowed the lawn, Josh's inexplicable sobbing turned out to be due to this very same problem. I really felt for him - but we worked it out, and he ended up running around picking dandelions as fast as he could.
