Hello

Hi Friends and Family,
I am going to try some experimental blogging to see if this is a good way to keep everyone in the loop on how our family is doing (and growing).
Today is a hot and humid day in Western Mass so the kids and I got outside bright and early before the worst of it set in. Ben made "imaginary creatures" with sidewalk chalk on our patio. He also drew some balloons and some people. Josh also drew some balloons, and then threw the chalk and watched it shatter. Then the kids jumped in and out of the kiddie pool for a while. Josh's main interest was filling up the (full) pool with more water from the hose, which he kept turning on until I threatened to banish him to the indoors.
On Saturday we visited with Matt's friends from his high school days. Our adorable little guests, girls aged almost 5 and 2.5, had a great time with Ben and Josh, who were exemplary hosts. The kids played indoors and out and had a great time.
Yesterday we visited with Grandpa Ernie and Grandma Nan. Everyone was a little cranky due to our 5 AM family wake-up time, so we decided to get take-out for lunch and keep it mellow.
