Years ago my friend Rachael gave me this beautiful hat. Since the very first time I wore it, I have gotten a compliment on it every time. Not only have I managed to hold onto it (while losing a myriad of other hats, gloves, and scarves) I have grown to love it more each year.
Rachael is living in Seattle now, and she is very busy and successful. I have visited once, but don't get to talk to her as often as I would like. But all winter long, every time I wear my lucky hat, I think of her. Thank you, Rachael. You are a wonderful friend and person, and I am lucky in so many ways to know you (not just the hat!)
