On Sunday we visited the Umass Barns and saw these goats. Their umbilical cords were still raw and wet. The mother goat was still expelling the afterbirth. One of the babies had a little bit of blood on his back leg, but other than that she had already cleaned them perfectly. They were nursing.
It is spring, and new life keeps emerging. It was an amazing and special time to see these newborns.
