Yesterday we had a birthday party for Ben. He and Josh spent the morning at Grandma's so that Matt and I could do some last minute shopping and clean up the house. When the kids came home they both took a nap (so did Mom!).
It was a really fun gathering. Ben was a great host and the kids had a blast running around. There were 8 kids, not counting the two adorable infants that were here. Because it was raining we were stuck inside, it was crowded but I thought it made for a festive atmosphere. We had fruit salad, pasta salad, chips, and of course, cake and ice cream.
Ben chose a Spiderman cake (purchased, not made by me!) and he was very pleased with it. He said thank you to everyone for his gifts, which were great. The kids were exhausted after all the activity and Ben was practically begging to go to sleep at bedtime. Balm to our ears!
