Early yesterday morning we went for a short hike at a conservation area near our house. The main reason that the hike was short is that the first attraction is a stream surrounded by thousands of rocks, for throwing, climbing on, damming up tiny waterfalls, etc. etc. So we never really make it too far into the woods.
Josh had his "crocs" on and happily trudged through hip deep water, clambering over mossy rocks, pointing everything out to me, look at these big stones Mommy, look at the orange stone, Mommy, look, water!
Ben was feeling a wee bit cranky but still had a great time. He can pick up rocks the size of his head. He can throw them also which is even more impressive. Ben's quote of the day: "You have to use your muscles to fight. And your brain to open things. Like caps of peanut butter."
