After doing my homework and checking the opening dates of all of the Amherst pools, the kids and I headed to Groff Park this morning. I told them that the pool would open at 11, but inadvertently lied. Apparently it will open on Saturday, about 12 days late.
I remembered seeing the fountain running already at War Memorial, so we got back in the car (after playing for an hour or so at Groff) and headed over there.
It is really, really HOT today! and sunny! I regretted my choice of modesty over comfort. Not that shorts and a tank top is exactly burka-like. I really didn't think anyone needed to see a woman THIS CLOSE to giving birth in a bathing suit. There are horrors enough in the world.
Excuse me now while I lay down under my fan, listen to the AC hum, and drift off to sleep.
